Further, it is believed that real time traffic information dissemination is an efficient way leading towards an optimal traffic management. With traffic information describing the real time traffic conditions, travellers will probably change their routing choice and departure time accordingly. In addition, the effectiveness of the traffic information on traffic management highly depends on quality of information provision and traveller’s compliance to follow. In Singapore, there are multiple ways of traffic information display such as local radio, electronic boards on expressway, Google map which is available in smart phones such as Iphone, Blackberry and Android phones. All these sources of travel information not only provide one type of travel information now, some even provide a few travel information such as travel time and traffic conditions at the same time through the same medium.
