It is used in Singapore to broadcast free-to-air channels such as digital 5, 8 and Channel News Asia (CNA), as well as the channels of subscription TV. Some of the advantages of DVB over analog TV are reduced bandwidth due to MPEG compression, and the ability to broadcast higher resolution pictures [1]. Video Streaming Application has become more and more prevalent in recent years, especially when computer Network bandwidth is continuously upgraded to cater more and more multimedia traffics running across the same physical channel such as wire and wireless channels. Our project seeks to exploit the advantages of WiFi (free and easily available) Network, develop a simple networking application, mainly specifically a video streaming application to realize the sharing of viewing free-to-air TV channels in one Pc (server) to multiple Pcs (client) at home and office Networked environments.
