Singapore has limited land space for commercial, residential, industrial and transportation purposes. Proper planning ensures that the plot of land allocated for these uses are maximized. A sustainable transportation is important to ensure that the demands of the future generation will not be affected by demands of the present transportation. Also, in view of the environment, public transport is being strongly promoted by the government to discourage people from driving.
