The left-handed material has been a major impact in scientific community. It starts from the perfect lens claims by Pendry that has lead to heated debate. Apart from perfect lens issue, many applications had been proposed such as the unusual narrow band transmission in multi stack structures, backward waveguiding, photon tunneling enhancement. However, the perfect lens seems to be the most promising potential application for several experimentalists had already verified the subdiffraction resolution in the perfect lens.
