Drug combinations are used to accelerate and/or increase the efficacy of a treatment. In case of infectious diseases, however, the predicaments of drug resistance prevail in the contemporary scenario. Drug combinations, in these cases, are mainly used to overcome such resistance by the disease causing pathogens. The present project created a unique system that can simultaneously investigate cell behavior exposed to a combinatory mixture of drugs. The system was aimed to conduct novel studies of combinatory drug performance on various cell types in vitro. Protocols for handling different cell types that require different culture conditions were established.
