Description
Summary:The widespread applications of electricity in households and workplaces have shown that energy has been integrated as a part of our daily lives. Maintaining the precarious balance between the energy demand and supply has always been a priority for governments, scientists and generation companies since blackouts has detrimental impact on defense capability and healthcare facilities. Increasing energy supply through renewable energy is not enough to counteract the increasing energy demand brought about by economic development. Ways to increase energy efficiency through demand side management (DSM) will also have to be explored.
