Summary: | Some batteries are sensitive to overcharge and/or over-discharge, which may lead to permanent damages to these devices. In order to protect these batteries from damages during the charging and discharging, the state-of-charge (SOC) of the battery must be determined. However, there is no direct way of determining the SOC of the batteries. Therefore, SOC can only be estimated from the measureable parameters of the battery. Because the SOC value is used to control charging/discharging, it must have good accuracy. |
