Summary:With the exponentially growing availability of online resources, the problem of information explosion is becoming much more salient nowadays. In order to relieve the information collectors from huge amount of irrelevant, redundant and overly detailed information, the Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Information Retrieval (IR) communities have put in many efforts to work out solutions that can automatically select/interpret important information for the end users. One of these solutions is Automatic Text Summarization.
