Description
Summary:Vermicomposting is a form of decomposition of organic waste into fertilisers using composting worms. Relative to other composting alternatives, vermicomposting proves to be an ideal choice for household use due to no foul smell produced during the composting process. The aim of this project is to design a household composter that is suitable for vermicomposting which can be used in HDB flats in Singapore. The project also compares the performance between the household composter and the commercially available composter “Can-O-Worm”. This project also uses the compost produced to evaluate the growth of Scindapsus aureus.
