Description
Summary:State-of-Charge (SOC) prediction is important to prolong the battery life span for the user convenience. With the development of battery models, research studies were performed to develop suitable battery model that is able to perform as desired prediction when compared to a physical model. In this report, comparison on SOC predictions has been made based on battery-current profile and physical behaviour. With the further application of the implemented battery model for solar-cell, one game-theory based energy management scheduling has been developed for smart house applications. The design of the system which incorporates solar-cell harvesting can simulate multiple interconnected houses in a de-centralised fashion, where battery banks are shared among houses. Simulations show that tasks in house applications can be allocated fairly to all batteries in achieving a balance with energy saving as compared to the conventional power-grid of house. The total energy consumption by solar and grid are compared and discussed with significant energy-saving observed.
