Summary: | Wireless power transfer has been pursued by many researchers. However, the received harvested power from ambient sources that could be converted to direct current still remains low. Therefore, harvesting ambient radio frequency energy is still a daunting task. With the widespread use of many wireless devices operating in the 2.4GHz spectrum, the possibilities of harvesting a vast energy source from these sources are prospective. It could rule out the required use of batteries in majority of devices if brought to fruition. In this project, the student will have opportunities to acquire knowledge and experience in designing a working prototype, from system conceptual development to final hardware test verification. |
