SOA is a key component used in whole free space transmission system. It is used for scintillation suppression purpose. The SOA properties will directly affect the transmission quality and the distance. Different values of parameters and different modeling calculation methods will have different impact on the saturation gain. So when modeling the SOA, it is important to analyze the contribution of different parameters and calculation methods to the saturation gain.
