Therefore, XML Database plays essential role in our life and as a result there is a need of user-friendly and fast application such as XBlend. In this project, we will discuss the impact of XML applications in people’s life, both desktop and Web-based. The scope of the project was to develop a Web platform for different types of users that improves user-friendliness and speed of processing queries. In this project the algorithm is implemented using Java programming language with the help of Vaadin web application and database technology SQL. The report included the development, implementation and testing. The choice of suitable Web application and interface design are also discussed in this report, followed by discussing the results and testing. The strength of the Web-based XBlend is that it is fast, easy to understand, the query result is accurate and allows query expressive queries.
