Analysis revealed a significant moderation effect of contingent self-worth in the relationship between Positive Achievement Striving (PAS) perfectionism and positive affect. However, contingent self-worth did not significantly moderate the relationship between Evaluative Concerns (EC) perfectionism and negative affect or between perfectionism (i.e. EC or PAS) and state self-esteem. Limitations and implications of the study were discussed.
