School of Chemical and Biomedical Engineering Infineum (Singapore) Pte Ltd DRNTU::Engineering::Chemical engineering The purpose of this report is to share the experiences and valuable industrial knowledge acquired during the industrial training at Infineum Singapore Pte Ltd. In the past 5 months, knowledge and concepts of engineering attained in school are applied to industrial engineering designs. This is accompanied with the guidance from senior engineers and experienced supervisors of Infineum. This report will discuss in further detail the key designing factors and experiences of this attachment period. The current design stage is a feasibility test of the offsite facilities, thus requiring the application of chemical engineering knowledge on the design studies. As part of Offsite Battery Limit Singapore design team of the largest Infineum Project thus far, it unravels great challenges of plant design. These challenges came together with very tight schedules and deadlines to deliver solutions to plant designs. The nature of the job also involves working with a wide spectrum of industrial experts, ranging from overseas Infineum design teams to vendors from other different chemical companies. Personally, the entire process gave a whole new perspective to chemical engineering industrial design. Industrial knowledge and experiences are the major achievements from these 5 months of attachment and it is certainly very beneficial. The excellent working environment and culture has definitely spearheaded one’s learning and strengthened the pursue of a career in the petrochemical industry in the future. 2011-12-13T06:38:39Z 2011-12-13T06:38:39Z 2010 2010 Industrial Attachment (IA) http://hdl.handle.net/10356/46522 en Nanyang Technological University 42 p. application/pdf |
