Amongst the many rehabilitation methods, externally bonded fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composites using the wet lay-up method has been an attractive solution. To date, there is a major consideration on its effectiveness in restoring and strengthening seismically damaged reinforced concrete structures and hence, further investigations and research is needed to demonstrate its effectiveness. In this research program, experimental studies have been carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of FRP composites in strengthening beam-column joints and structural walls with and without openings.
