Due to advancement in technology, there is an increasing demand in high performance personal computers (PCs). With the enforcement of the international electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) regulatory requirements, the unwanted radiated electromagnetic fields from these PCs cannot exceed specific limits. One of the dominant radiating sources of a PC is its attached interfacing cable to peripherals, such as mouse, keyboard and video display unit. These cables act as radiating antennas and transmit significant level of radiated fields posing electromagnetic interference (EMI) threat to other electronic devices.
