The main objective of this project is to design and simulate dual-band bandpass filters using stub-loaded resonators (SLR) to operate at 2.4 and 5.2GHz. Characterized by both theoretical analysis and full-wave simulation, the proposed SLR is found to have the advantage that even-mode resonant frequencies can be flexibly controlled whereas the odd-mode resonant requencies are fixed. Based on the proposed SLR, a dual-band filter is implemented with one transmission zero. To further improve the bandwidth, a three-stage cascade filter is designed by simply combining single SLR filter.
