Magnetorheological (MR) materials are known as a group of smart materials that respond to external magnetic field. MR materials consist of magnetically polarisable particles in a non-polarisable matrix. In this work, magnetic foams (MFs), a special type of MR solids, have been synthesized from flexible polyurethanes (PU) foams and carbonyl iron particles. Low and high density MFs have been prepared.
