This research is to study for any changes in the nature of genre in the narration of Singapore's history comparing printed texts with the digital domain of Wikipedia. Historys our interpretation of what had happened in the past. Our perceptions influence how we interpret what we read and it also influences what we write. In this paper, we investigate how information on Singapore's history is being contributed and presented in Wikipedia by comparing it against the printed texts. Does Wikipedia, as an open platform of collaboration, demonstrate a new form of genres from the printed texts by reflecting an alternative history besides the dominant Singapore Story?
