A research model was developed applying the Theory of Planned Behaviour. After reviewing literature on online fabrication and the role of age on internet users' privacy protection responses, predictions on the influence of age on behavioural attitude, subjective norm, behavioural control and intention to fabricate personal data online were derived and tested. Holding age constant, the relative influence of the antecedents behind this intention was also explored.
