Also, due to its all fiber structure, different from the bulky free-space optics, it is anticipated to achieve the high peak power fiber lasers with low cost, light and compact, alignment hassle free and sustainable without an active cooling mechanism. Although this type of lasers have been intensively studied, many mechanisms are still not very clear especially the fiber nonlinearity.
