It is hence critical to impart strategic skills to existing and potential entrepreneurs for the development and growth of their business ventures. A growing body of literature suggests that networking is a particularly important skill for entrepreneurship. However, because the way entrepreneurs’ network may be shaped by the socio-cultural environment, it is important to understand what Singaporean entrepreneurs themselves think about networking. This paper reports a qualitative study, using grounded inductive theory, which examined how 13 Singaporean entrepreneurs think about networking.
