Summary: | The UWB spectrum, when fully utilized, offers potential application in the biomedical field. With the Ultra wide bandwidth, the UWB signal offers subcentimeters resolution which is suitable for biomedical applications, where the body is normally the channel, UWB signal is non-ionizing, and due to the restriction imposed by FCC, operates at a much lower power level compared to cell phones. These properties, coupled with the advance in UWB technology development in the communication industry, led to interesting research in the area. |
