Development of a networked virtual environment

This project focuses on the network implementation of a virtual environment, in this case, a multiplayer car racing simulator. The project includes building of the car racing simulator itself, as well as the various approaches used to create the networked environment. The network implementations are...

The project includes building of the car racing simulator itself, as well as the various approaches used to create the networked environment. The network implementations are experimental, such that discovered issues are handled progressively to achieve the optimal networked virtual environment. An ideal networked virtual environment in this case is defined as having all the cars in the simulator appear in the same position and orientation on all clients’ display outputs simultaneously. The result of the network implementation of this project is deemed to have achieved this purpose with negligible error in car positions.
