By simulating the operation numerous advantages such cost saving in terms of time money is saved. Other benefits include experimentation of ideas such policies to test out its effectiveness and efficiency before they can be implemented into the system. Distributed Simulation is achieve through Grid computing that use a High Level Architecture(HLA) framework to break the simulation to different components to be ran in different geographical locations. Grid computing securely coordinates geographically distributed resources, sharing among individuals and organization achieve a common goal. Its various Grid services components could be engaged in order to facilitate the execution of the distributed simulation. The HLA provide services that will allow computer simulations to communicate to other computer simulations on the simulation model. Run Time Infrastructure is the middleware required that is required for the implementation of the HLA. For this project the two type of RTI that will be used on the simulation model will be SOHR and DMSO RTI. This project aims to benchmark the performance of the simulation model on two different type of RTI which are the SOHR and the DMSO RTI, As well as to investigate the interoperability of the Commercial-Off-The- Shelf -Simulation Package(CSP ) which is Simul8 software on the SOHR RTI.
