Description
Summary:APLDAXCC is Animistic Perception of Life, Death and Afterlife. It is a practice-based study that juxtaposes Animism and Science, two systems of thoughts that are both on the extremes of human understanding. Animism—the belief in the existence of spirits in the surrounding nature and the afterlife, is a system of thought conjured by our primordial forefathers, thousands of years ago. However, this idea is still evident in the minds of majority until today, where theories are required to be reinforced by some sort of scientific conclusions. With capabilities of modern tools and technology, this processual project encompasses a body of work that translates symbolic and animistic forms inspired by nature to metaphorical visual objects and sculptures, which emphasizes the influence of Animism in contemporary culture.
