Description
Summary:This final year project delves into traditional and alternative notions of space and time with respect to the art of photography and seeks to present the findings; demonstrating ideas and concepts of physical space within and outside the frame, as well as the notions of time and transience pertaining to the content and appreciation of photography, through a series of landscape. The physical and temporal notions of space are challenged and re-presented in the final work of art. The final piece is a sum of the findings through photographic, chemical and electrical research and experimentation. It is a series of painterly photographic images that reversibly changes from black abstract paintings to landscapes – on paper. The work not only encompasses the traditional sense of space and time, but also introduces new elements of physical and temporal space, bringing a new viewing experience to landscape photography. In a nutshell, this hybrid piece of work is a series of painterly photographic images that morphs visually on paper.
