This study focuses on the green shipping issues and challenges faced by maritime authority in the context of Singapore, which is the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). From the analysis of the current shipping schemes in Singapore and studies of other ports, some recommendations are made. MPA could focus on developing comprehensive policies, providing more incentives, fostering greater collaboration among shipping value chain, countries, industries, investing in research and development, and administering training and education.
