Goods vehicles (GVs) are the motor vehicles used in the first and last mile of the intermodal transportation. Therefore, in this report, the problems from the usage of GVs will be identified and discussed. Some problems are the illegal overnight parking; accidents caused by GVs and traffic congestion of GVs. The solutions introduced are vehicle-parking certificate to curb overnight parking, electronic road pricing (ERP) for traffic congestion. It seems to success in containing these problems. However, with the increase in the number of GVs, these problems will be worsening. The sustainability of these solutions for future potential problems is not conclusive.
