Effect of varying SRT on inorganics retentate concentration in MDBR and its impact on bioprocess

The main objectives of this study are to (i) investigate the correlation between accumulation rate of inorganic salts in the Membrane Distillation Bioreactor (MDBR) retentate and Sludge Retention Time (SRT) of 10 and 30 days, (ii) to determine the inhibitory effects of potential inhibitors on the To...

Description
Summary:The main objectives of this study are to (i) investigate the correlation between accumulation rate of inorganic salts in the Membrane Distillation Bioreactor (MDBR) retentate and Sludge Retention Time (SRT) of 10 and 30 days, (ii) to determine the inhibitory effects of potential inhibitors on the Total Organic Carbon (TOC) removal efficiency and specific biomass growth rate of the aerobic thermophiles by conducting batch tests and (iii) to determine whether inhibition by inorganic salt occurs in MDBR system.
