Summary:The twenty-first century has witnessed increasingly precarious and unpredictable business environment for the world. Catastrophic events, regardless of its nature, have left many struggling with its aftermath of destruction and loss. With risks of all forms threatening the survivability of businesses, a key question to be asked would be the extent of preparedness present in the organizations to deal and recover from these disasters, also known as the organizational resilience. With ports playing the key role to the smooth and continuous flow of the international trade and commerce, the in-depth study of ports and exploration of its disruptions would be the interest of this study.
