Augmented Reality (AR) is the technology of super-imposing of computer-generated content over a live view of the world. It changes people’s perception of reality and provides exciting visual experience. With the release of Augmented Reality SDK for iOS – String™, it is possible to develop interactive Augmented Reality applications for iOS devices.
This project seeks to explore interaction types with virtual contents through exploration of Augmented Reality application development using Unity and String™. Applying the exploration results, this project develops an interactive application that allows the user to send out Augmented Reality Greeting Cards (ARGC).
This report includes the details and principles of the design of interaction types as well as design and implementation of the final prototype of the ARGC. Suggestions on the future research direction are given. |
