Description
Summary:This report consists of understanding the wear pattern of shoes and the designing of the cart equipment. The designed cart equipment is design to position a digital camera to capture a close up hind view of the people walking gait motion. There is another digital camera to capture the side profile the participants to have an overview of the body that correlates to the walking gait pattern. This study mainly focuses the lower locomotives –the calves and feet - on young healthy individuals and also some of the elderly ‘serious leg injuries’. The results have shown that the higher rotation of legs against the vertical axis has more wear on the shoes and can be known as the master legs. The type of arches also clearly defined the possible wear pattern of the shoes be it at the heel, big toes or ball of the toes. Furthermore, the lifting of legs, landing of legs and physical structure of the legs can differentiate a person if it has healthy gait cycle. These methodology developed can understand gait motion of each individual and derive possible wear pattern of shoes.
