Currently, there are two methods of retrieving the Fishing Friendly Structure, however, both methods require longer retrieving time. An efficient and expedient process for retrieving the Fishing Friendly Structure is required. The Fishing Friendly Structure operational mode, main components and functions of the mechanisms were analyzed. An approach to modify the Fishing Friendly Structure leg hinge joint assembly was developed following the design criteria and specification for the Fishing Friendly Structure protection philosophy. Stress analysis on Fishing Friendly Structure leg hinge joint was also performed and structural integrity of the modified Fishing Friendly Structure was verified.
