Description
Summary:Global warming is affecting many parts of the world. Global warming makes the sea rise, and when the sea rises, the water covers many low land islands and causes big problem for many of the plants, animals, and people on islands. Everyone in the world is encouraged to go green and trying to use solar to generate energy. The first steam ejector refrigeration system was in 1910. During that time, Steam ejector refrigeration was very popular for air conditioning application. Vapour compression cycle was more efficient than alternative thermally driven cycles. Steam ejector refrigeration system has the ability to use low heat energy to drive the system. The ERS system is able to connect sources like solar panel and automobile. Solar driven ERS (ejector refrigeration system) is very common nowadays and is a quite common to be seen in Europe country. Due to the world wide recognise of this product, performance testing was done on the ejector refrigeration system. It is important to analysis the system and calculates the efficiency of the system. The ejector is the main component for the whole system, selection of the correct ejector is important because the outlet of the ejector may affect the efficiency of the whole system. The performance and the efficiency of the whole system can be analysis by the pressure of compressor outlet, EEV (Electronic Expansion Valve) inlet, evaporator outlet, Mass Flow Rate to Generator and Mass Flow Rate to Evaporator. This whole project covered the relationship between pressure and temperature, coefficient of performance as well as the advantages and disadvantages of using ejector refrigeration system.
