It also endeavors to gauge the relevance of the NTU Maritime Studies programme and hence, propose recommendations on improvement in the programme. It is found that the past graduates are having smooth progress in their career after graduation, with a majority of them currently employed in the maritime industry. The observed perceived satisfaction of the NTU Maritime Studies by the past graduates and perceived satisfaction with the performance of past graduates by maritime industry players are found to be high. This reveals the credibility of the of the Maritime Studies programme as well as its success in nurturing capable maritime professionals equipped with excellent technical knowledge, interest for profession and ability to contribute to the upcoming necessities of the local shipping industry. Lastly, areas of improvements in Maritime Studies programme has also been recommended based on feedbacks generated by the past graduates and maritime industry players.
