Summary: | Facilitated membrane transport has been deeply focused and studied over the last decade to increase the removal of carbon dioxide in biogas. By varying the carriers, the membrane substrate materials, the chemical modification, etc. scientists expect a 99% of performance in both permeate and selectivity. Currently, there are two stand-out carrier types: mobile carriers and fixed carriers. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages, but people recently choose fixed carriers as the main trend, due to its stability and low maintenance cost and set up. |
