Description
Summary:In the world today, many unwanted energy is wasted either as heat or radiation though the transmission while the renewable energy technology is not new (e.g., solar and wind.). Energy harvesting sensors, which harvest energy from the environment, is an alternative for batteries used in wireless communication links. The objective of this Final Year Project is to come up with the different methods to optimize Packet Delivery Rate (PDR) or decrease the outage from the source to the destination in the network model using energy harvesting sensor as the relays. The author first came up with a flowchart on the model drawn, and transform it into codes to run simulation. To find out where the problem lies, the author has set a benchmark. They are fixed power, random power and higher power. However, the power used by the relays to transmit the packet where it is the harvested energy by EH node and the channel gains are variable constant. Thus, aggravating the problem as it is hard to predict the variables and the solutions to tackle the problems
