The purpose of this report is to provide an insight to the findings gathered during the 1 year Final Year Project (FYP) period researching on Android Malware Analysis. This report will see through a detailed description of Malware and its development from its first infection of the computer to the spread towards mobile devices. An extensive literature review will be conducted for 19 research papers pertaining to both conventional and mobile based malware. The literature review will then be followed up with an experiment on various clustering algorithms on a dataset contributed by the Crowdriod authors. Focus will be placed on the Android mobile platform and recommendations for an effective Malware Analysis Framework based on research gathered from various malware analysis papers. The report will finally conclude with recommendations for future work and the direction towards which future students can take to further develop an effective Android Malware Framework
