Summary: | Facial image recognition in computer vision is important area that attracts significant research interest. This baseline interest could be developed further in many areas such as security and human identification and so on.
The project emphasized area, the age gap verification is mainly aimed for investigations of missing child. Generally, suffer from insufficient law enforcement resources, locating missing children and stopping the exploitation of children recently becomes troubling problems in today’s society. To be able to help this, the purpose of the project is to verify the feasibility of using the two different approaches for image recognition and verification.
The project emphasize on two different methods for age gap verification; Principle Component Analysis (PCA) and Histogram of Oriented Gradients Method (HOG), combined with support vector machine (SVM) classifier. And the comprising between above two based on the experimental results. This proposed technique involves with the help of MATLAB. |
