Development of structural analysis spreadsheet for well jumper
Jumpers are employed in the subsea oil and gas field for the purpose of production fluid transportation from one subsea component to another. It consists of 2 connectors at each end and a pipeline (flexible or hard) in between. In addition to production fluid, jumpers are also used for the purpose o...

In addition to production fluid, jumpers are also used for the purpose of chemical/ water injection into the well. The aim of this project is to generate a structural analysis spreadsheet to verify the structural strength of a well jumper design is adequate for its specific application. The structural analysis spreadsheet focuses on the strength verification of pipelines for M-shape well jumper. Kellogg general analytical method was the method employed in the verification tool in determining the reactions of jumper due to various functional loads. ASME B31.8 and DNV-OS-F101 were used as the verification guideline for well jumper strength verification.
