Summary:Water disinfection is the removal, deactivation or killing of the pathogenic bacteria and micro-organisms by chemical or physical disinfection. Many industries are very positive about the different opportunities used with nanotechnology. Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) was recognized as an effective method of disinfection mechanism which is responsible for inactivation of the bacteria and microorganism. Stimulated intense research findings are focused on characterization, synthesis and applications of 1D TiO2 nanostructures, modification of 3D TiO2 nanostructures and their properties. This final year year project will cover the different areas, including underlying principles, mechanisms and key functional features of TiO2, which is a very complex method by indicating potential future directions of the field.
