The basic nature of work was in the area of Information Technology - software development in mobile application. The main area of concentration was in iPhone application development using Xcode and Macintosh using the programming language Objective-C. The report firstly introduces the basic information about carpooling and the reason for the application development. The chapter that follows describes in detail the work completed by me.Chapter 3 describes mainly the planning process such as the requirement capture and the requirement analysis and the method in which the problem has been resolved. Chapter 4 and 5 illustrates the whole working procedures of the two main parts of the iPhone application. The two main part details about driver and passenger and how it works is explained in depth in the report. The report also clearly explains how the data is handled and how these data is delivered to the user and how this information can be retrieved by the user depending on the demand. The chapter also includes the flow chart diagram which clearly indicates the flow of the program code. Finally the conclusion of the project and also recommendations on how the project can further be improved for a much better experience has been included. The program source code has been catalogued as appendices at the end of the report.
