Around the world, it is a requirement for organisations to protect their assets and facilities. There is an increasing demand for better protection with greater threats of security breaches such as unauthorized access. In order to meet these increased needs of security, more resources must be devoted to security to prevent security breach that in more adverse circumstances, may lead to unforeseen and often tragic consequences.Intrusion Detection System is one of the tools that can be used to enhance the protection of the organisation’s valuable asserts. With intrusion detection, close-circuit television camera can be used beyond the basic usage of monitoring of the area; it is now a tool that can perform tracking and alerting the security personnel in the event of an unauthorized access. In addition, with early detection, it will increase the response time. Furthermore, it can reduce the number of personnel deploy without compromising on security.
