Description
Summary:This report summarises the learning and works of the Final Year Project (FYP) that span across two semesters. The FYP Program had given a chance to make use of the knowledge, and skills that were taught in the university. The project that has been chosen is Portable Video-on-demand system. A portable Video-on-demand system device will enable the user to bring it anywhere at his own convenience to present his PowerPoint slides together with the DVD playing capability without the need to bring a laptop or a DVD player. In this project, Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Access, Windows Media Player and Microsoft PowerPoint were used to accomplish the requirements. Microsoft Visual Studio C sharp (C#) was used as the main language to create software where the user is able to select the required DVD to be played and play its specific chapters with embedded Windows Media Player and later integrated to PowerPoint. The title of each DVDs will be stored in Microsoft Access to be retrieved upon request by the user on which DVD to be played.
