Wireless transceiver design and performance evaluation

Project, B5030-111, Wireless Transceiver Design and Performance Evaluation is the study of potential transmission scheme for data communication in oil well. Specifically, it is the investigation of faster data throughput rate from the sensors at the drill bit to the receiver at the surface. B5030-11...

Specifically, it is the investigation of faster data throughput rate from the sensors at the drill bit to the receiver at the surface. B5030-111 is part of an ongoing joint research project among tripartite namely Nanyang Technological University, Institute for Infocomm Research and A*STAR. In this project, the drill string channel will be implemented by Matlab using finite-difference algorithm. Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is suggested as a potential communication system with this channel. Therefore, the motivation of this report is to relate the author's progress and findings with regards to B5030-111.
