Description
Summary:As Industry and the retail users have increasingly demand for higher capacity storage devices for the past few years. Realm of data storage density has expanded from gigabyte- to terabyte-domain. In such a high areal density, Bit-Patterned Media Recording (BPMR) has been proposed as a prominent candidate for next generation hard disk drives (HDDs). In order to improve the performance of this new technology, the simulation of the write process and the prediction of hard disks‟ performance become important issues in this research area.
