During the transmitting of signal, digital processing, such as digital filtering for noise rejection will be implemented in the digital signal processor. The problems encountered are investigated in this type of distance estimation technique which includes transducer directivity and multipath effects. In addition, the characteristic of ultrasound and ultrasonic transducers are also investigated in this project. Moreover, the device can be modified to meet the user’s exact needs, and is relatively inexpensive.
