Bit-error rate simulation for frequency-hopped multiple-access systems over fading channels

總結:Frequency-hopping spread-spectrum has been widely utilized in both military and commercial applications. Due to the effects of multiple-access interference, partial-band or multi-tone jamming and fading channels, the performance of frequency-hopped multiple-access could be degraded. In this report, bit-error-rate (BER) performance of a fast frequency-hopped binary frequency-shift-keying (FFH/BFSK) system using diversity-combining over multiple-access interference (MAI), partial-band jamming (PBJ), additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) and fading channels is presented. Five diversity-combining methods utilized in BER simulation to counter MAI and PBJ effects are square-law linear combining, product combining, hard-decision majority-vote (HDMV), self-normalizing and clipper receivers.
